Welcome! I am delighted to have you in my studio!
TUITION
Your tuition reserves you a weekly time slot and membership within the studio. Your tuition also covers significant time spent outside of the lesson preparing repertoire and materials (flash cards, practice logs, music books, etc.). Students will be coached for and provided with competition and performance opportunities.
REPERTOIRE
I carefully select and purchase repertoire for students. Parents will be billed for any new music/materials.
RATES
Weekly 20 minute lesson: $124.80 per quarter
Weekly 30 minute lesson: $187.20 per quarter
Weekly 45 minute lesson: $280.80 per quarter
Weekly 60 minute lesson: $374.40 per quarter
PAYMENT
Tuition payments can be made once a quarter or once a month. Payments will be made online through Music Business Solutions using Visa, MasterCard or direct debit from a checking or savings account, or by check.
MAKEUP LESSONS
Due to the full studio schedule, I am not able to make up missed piano lessons when students cancel lessons, nor will that tuition be refunded. The significant additional time given throughout the year for planning and music selection as well as recitals will be considered as reimbursement for the occasional missed lesson. You are welcome to arrange swaps with other parents, and you will be provided with a studio schedule and parent contact information.
HOLIDAYS
Lessons will not be taught during certain breaks during the year (i.e. the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas). These lessons will not be made up.
LESSON TERMINATION
30 days notice in writing is required if student decides to discontinue lessons.
PRACTICE
There is an expectation that students will be practicing at home to fulfill the assignments given at the lesson. Students should read the lesson notes before they begin practicing each day, and should fill out a practice log. Lessons should be a time for new instruction, not repeating the previous week's comments. I recommend that parents practice with beginning students and check in with intermediate students to ensure the practice is productive.
MISCELLANEOUS
Parents and siblings may wait outside the studio during lessons unless requested by the teacher.
